sixteen:ix (i.77:1) is a widescreen aspect ratio with a width of sixteen units and meridian of 9.

Once seen equally exotic,^[ane] since 2009, it has become the near common aspect ratio for televisions and computer monitors and is also the international standard format of digital television set HDTV Total Hard disk drive and SD TV. It has replaced the fullscreen 4:3 aspect ratio.
